How much marks is necessary in computer course in the GDS selection?

The Gramin Dak Sevak Selection will not include any written or online exam. The selection will only be based on the candidate’s class 10 marks. Go through the points given below to learn about the GDS selection process.
  1. Gramin dak Sevak Selection Process will only be based on the candidate’s 10th standard marks.
  2. The marks scored by the candidate will be rounded off to the accuracy of 4 decimals to prepare the Gramin Dak Sevak merit list.
  3. There will be no weightage given to candidates having higher qualification, past experience and service knowledge. The selection will only be based on merit (marks in class 10).
  4. If two candidates have scored the same mark then the officials will be prioritizing the content based on the following criteria:
    The candidate higher in age will be preferred.
     After that, preference will be given in the order of ST female, SC female, OBC female, EWS female, UR female, ST Male, SC Male, OBC male, EWS male, UR male.

 

Gramin Dak Sevak Selection Criteria/ Eligibility Criteria

 

Educational Qualification: The candidates must be have passed class 10 with Mathematics and English as a compulsory or elective subject. Candidates must have passed all the subjects from any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India.

Computer knowledge: Candidates must have a basic knowledge of computer. Candidates need to produce  Basic Computer Training Course Certificate with a minimum period of 60 days. However, this can be relaxed if the candidate has studied computer as a subject in class 10, 12 or any higher educational level. In such a case, a separate certificate will not be insisted upon.

Knowledge of local knowledge: Candidates must have studied the local language at least up to class 10 as a compulsory or elective subject. Check th local language list as per the present notification form the table below:

Candidates need to go through the GDS eligibility criteria before filling the GDS application process. The GDS selection criteria are as follows:
Age Criteria: The candidate’s age must be between 18 to 40 years as on October 10, 2019.
Besides that, there is also a provision for relaxation in the upper age limit for certain categories. The GDs age relaxation criteria are as follows:


SC / ST 5 Years
OBC 3 Years
PWD 10 Years
PWD + OBC 13 Years
PWD + SC/ ST 15 Years
